My name is Joseph Erdos. I have a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Biology and Chemistry, Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and a Doctor of Medicine all from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. I completed an Internship in Internal Medicine, a Residency in Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Molecular Pharmacology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. I am Board Certified in Psychiatry and Medical Informatics and am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University.
I have worked in the Department of Veterans Affairs in West Haven, Connecticut since nineteen ninety in various capacities; Chief of Outpatient Psychiatry, Director of the Schizophrenia Clinic, Attending Psychiatrist in the Women’s Clinic, Chief Information Officer and Director of Medical Informatics. During my career in the Veterans Affairs I have predominantly treated veterans with combat trauma and post traumatic stress and veterans who have experience military sexual trauma. I began studying mindfulness and Logotherapy as a discipline to help treat post traumatic stress and suicidality and to provide hope and a way forward for these individuals to recover.
